4.2.7.2 Drivers and Descriptors<br />
4.2.7.2.1<br />
Supplied modules shall be re-entrant, address independent, and shall not contain selfmodifying<br />
code.<br />
4.2.7.2.2<br />
Drivers shall be provided to access the FLASH, SRAM, and DRAM memories through<br />
RBFMAN, or approved equivalent. The following RBFMAN descriptors shall apply:<br />

/d0 Floppy Diskette Drive Reserved name; no driver required<br />
/f0 FLASH Drive Accessed as RAM disk & OS-9 /dd default<br />
Device<br />
/h0 Hard Disk Drive Reserved name; no drive required<br />
/r0 SRAM Drive Accessed as RAM disk<br />
/r1 Reserved; no driver required<br />
/r2 Temporary DRAM Drive Allows 1 MB <strong>of</strong> DRAM, accessed as RAM<br />
disk; not initialized at boot time<br />
A driver to handle each <strong>of</strong> the four internal timers under the OS-9 Kernel shall be<br />
provided. Access to the MC68360 internal timers shall be provided through the following<br />
device descriptors:<br />
