COMPACTFLASH Card (also called a memory card)<br />

Problem Cause Solution<br />

The camera does not<br />

recognize your card.<br />

<strong>Camera</strong> freezes up<br />

when a card is<br />

inserted or removed.<br />

The card may not<br />

be<br />

COMPACTFLASH<br />

certified.<br />

The card may be<br />

corrupt.<br />

No card is<br />

inserted in<br />

<strong>Camera</strong> detects an<br />

error when the<br />

card was inserted<br />

or removed.<br />

Purchase a certified<br />

COMPACTFLASH card<br />

Reformat the card<br />

Caution: Formatting erases all<br />

pictures from the card.<br />

Insert a card.<br />

Turn the camera off, then back<br />

on.<br />

Make sure the camera is off when<br />
