The immediate stop function
The foot switch controls the
pneumatic valve. This allows
the blasting process to begin
or end instantly. The control
system allows a very precise
dosage of blasting material.
There is no flow of material
once blasting has stopped (savings
on blasting material!).
The flow of blasting material
is consistent from the beginning,
as the blasting pressure
The blasting modules
After switching on the unit
the blasting tanks are permanently
under pressure. On
switching off the unit the
tanks remain under pressure
for several hours so the
pressure does not need to be
continuously regained.
This means the programmed
pressure is ready for use
immediately on starting the
Tank selector switch, pressure
regulator, air blast
nozzle, colour coding, hose
feed and protective grate
1 the tank selector switch,
pressure regulator and air
blast nozzle are situated
in the blasting chamber.
2 the tank lids, tanks, tank
selector switch and blasting
handles are colour-coded.
3 optimum hose feed for
improved handling within
the blasting chamber.
4 easily accessible flat 360°
foot switch.
5 an additional protective
grate to prevent premature
glass wear due to erosion
is also optionally available.
does not have to constantly
be regained.
The IS function enables
focused, precise sandblasting
for e.g.:
• sandblasting fissures.
• devesting delicate restorations
(allporcelain/ pressable
ceramics, inlays, telescope
units, thin crown margins
etc.).
• precision attachments.
blasting process and also after
short interruptions.
A valve in the lid shows the
pressure situation in the tank.
This valve also allows the tank to
be manually depressurised before
opening. The same volume
of blasting material will flow
under identical pressure con -
ditions regardless of the amount
of blasting material in the tank.
Info
Cold silanization in the
sandblasting unit
The Basic series of Renfert
sandblasting units is
exclusively recommended
by 3M ESPE for use with
ROCATEC TM . This bonding
system is ideal if an
adhesive bond is required
between a composite and
a dental material (metal,
acrylic, porcelain, zirconia
porcelain). Advantage:
The surface film is applied
cold, preventing thermal
loading of metal frameworks
and consequently
the risk of distortion. All
units in the Basic series
can be used for ROCA-
TEC TM due to their regular,
homogeneous jet flow.
As 3 abrasive agents are
used in ROCATEC TM (Pre,
Plus, Soft), 3M ESPE and
Renfert recommend the
Basic quattro, which can
be expanded to 4 tanks.
