Ensuring that World Triathlon Corporation has all <strong>of</strong> the resources, expertise and support <strong>of</strong> our community<br />
to put on a smooth, safe and successful race is our number one priority. We look forward to listening and<br />
responding to your needs with a collaborative group <strong>of</strong> <strong>Town</strong> and County public service pr<strong>of</strong>essionals. The<br />
following section touches on the organizing committee, volunteers and permitting support we can provide.<br />
Also, three potential swim options, four cycle route options and four run portions <strong>of</strong> the race are provided.<br />
Descriptions <strong>of</strong> the Finish and Festival areas round out this section.<br />
We want to clearly let you know that we and our hotels and accommodations partners are extremely flexible<br />
to developing auxiliary spaces, venues, and more to ensure the event you would like to create is realized<br />
and we are willing and committed to creating this with you together.<br />
ORGANIZING COMMITTEE – Volunteers from the Chamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, <strong>Hilton</strong> <strong>Head</strong><br />
<strong>Island</strong> Marketing Committee, local corporate and small business membership, Bicycling Advisory Committee,<br />
<strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Hilton</strong> <strong>Head</strong> <strong>Island</strong>, <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> Bluffton, Beaufort County, South Carolina Department <strong>of</strong> Parks,<br />
Recreation and Tourism, non-pr<strong>of</strong>it organizations and resident volunteers stand ready to assist the World<br />
Triathlon Corporation and the Chamber’s IRONMAN Organizing Committee. Our chamber includes 1,600<br />
businesses and pr<strong>of</strong>essionals who excel at welcoming, supporting, securing and building long-term major<br />
sporting events. It is our goal to connect you with the best people, leaders, resources and decision-makers in<br />
our area to help with the Organizing Committee. These folks will have the knowledge, experience and authority<br />
to make things happen for IRONMAN.<br />
We will work collaboratively and in partnership with your team to empower you to create a successful event<br />
and we are committed to enhancing and perfecting our collaboration with you each year to create<br />
