7,500 visitors can’t be wrong – Saltvik’s Viking Market is one event<br />
you won’t want to miss. Hobnob with unruly Vikings, hotheaded<br />
warriors and beautiful wenches in the tented Viking village. Browse<br />
market stalls laden with authentic handicrafts and let our tavern<br />
tempt you into sampling food and drink of the period served on<br />
wooden platters. Add demonstrations of armed combat, exciting<br />
activities for the children and music from the Middle Ages and the<br />
experience is complete.<br />

the days of Gustav vasa<br />
The Gustav Vasa Days at Kastelholm transport you straight<br />
back to the 16 th century and Kastelholm’s heyday when the<br />
king himself, Gustav Vasa, stayed here. Relive the fate of the<br />
Vasa dynasty from little Gustav Vasa to the final battle of<br />
Kastelholm as actors mingle amongst the audience to bring<br />
the story to life. Explore the historical market in the company<br />
of fearsome soldiers and naughty jesters or enjoy the traditional<br />
food and drink. Lots of fun for the children.<br />
