The beautiful view of Åland’s coast and an interesting history
make Kobba Klintar at the entrance to Mariehamn’s western
harbour a popular destination. It was here in former times
that the stately sailing boats took on their pilots to enter the
maritime town. Today instead, modern cruise ships pass so
close you could almost touch them. On Saturdays and Sundays
during July the charter boat m/s Hagge will take you
from Fiskehamnen in the south of Mariehamn to Kobba Klintar.
Explore the old pilots’ hut on the island with its foghorn
and take a break at the café. From 17–19 July and 23–25 July
Hagge also provides day and evening trips to Kobba Klintar

Källskär – an island with a difference
On the seaward skerries of Kökars southern archipelago
lies the island of Källskär, which Baron Göran
Åkerhielm transformed into his own piece of paradise
during the sixties. This improbable treasure and the
beautiful scenery make Källskär well worth a visit.
Guided tours run during the summer.
