Step from the street into Svalan Hantverk & Kläder boutique and
be greeted by a profusion of patterns and colours. There is inspiration
and creativity in hordes, both for those who are interested
in making things and those who would like to return home with
one of proprietor Gunvor’s own knitted mohair rugs. Also on sale
are wools and materials for your own creations or clothes in lovely
natural fabrics.

ceramics at Judy’s
Clamber up the tiled staircase at Köpmansgatan 11, Judys
Hantverk & Inredning. Judy has both her workshop and shop
in this former dairy. She greets all visitors with a warm smile
and talks willingly about her work. You can watch as she
throws pots on the wheel and decorates her own creations
or you can browse the items for sale. Amongst the treasures
here are Judy’s personal crockery and distinctive textiles from
Åland’s design duo Korpi–Gordon, who are currently working
on a collection for Ikea.
