Paddle out to
kobba klintar
A visit to the island of Kobba Klintar at the gateway to Åland’s
mighty sea is always an experience. During the summer
months Friluftsentreprenörerna S.G.U. run guided canoe trips
to the old pilot station on the island. The day trip is suitable
for people with average fitness and no previous canoe experience
is required. The excursion includes a light lunch to be
eaten watching the huge liners pass the island on their way to
the ferry terminal in Mariehamnn. During July Kobba Klintar’s
summer café is open offering coffee on the rocks.
S.G.U. also offers introductory and beginner canoeing
courses for everyone.

like to learn to canoe?
Take a basic course in canoeing at Sandösunds
Camping. After the course you have the option to
go on a guided canoe trip out into the beautiful
archipelago around Vårdö, at half the normal price.
The trip takes 3–4 hours and includes a snack and
drink.
