Three years after the launch of the first edition, the
Survey continues to provide a description of the
regional asset management industry and act as a
catalyst for its development.
The 2012 edition expands coverage to more countries in the Middle East and North
Africa region and provides additional content. Those of you who are familiar with
previous editions will note that the title has been changed to reflect the Survey’s wider
scope. An additional aspect of the 2012 edition is the appointment of Lipper, a Thomson
Reuters company, as the official data partner for the Survey. At the same time, the
support of a number of official entities across the region continues to be extremely
invaluable. Indeed, the book is the result of industrywide participation and contains some
data which are published for the first time. You will, therefore, find data coverage to be
more comprehensive in this year’s edition.
I hope you will find this publication useful as the definitive reference source on the
regional asset management industry.
