Communicants
Seven thousand forty nine members are reported in the
home field, a net decrease of 153. Central Canada presbytery
reports a net gain of 12; Colorado of 18; Pacific Coast of
16; Illinois a net loss of 13; Iowa of 4; New York of 25; Ohio
of 19; Philadelphia of 16; Pittsburgh of 12; Kansas of 69;
Rochester of 2. Eighty were certified to other congregations,
106 joined other denominations; 125 passed away; a total decrease
of 480 is reported as against 509 last year. One hundred
twenty three joined the mother church, 48 came from other
denominations and 79 from the world. A total increase of 359
is reported as against 417 of the previous year.
Contributions
83% of the Budget of $100,000.00 was contributed
according to the figures of the 3 general treasurers,
by individuals and congregations, to this was added $7,042.00
from the payment of the Brooklyn, N. Y., church mortgage
making some 907r. This is $11.86 per member against
$11.81 of last year. $34,012.00 was contributed for Foreign
Missions work or $4.82 per member against $4.78 of the
previous year. Reports of Congregational treasurers show
collections for Bible Society $1,960.00, National Reform
$3,558.00, Pastor's Salary $133,635.00, Budget $89,210.00, Miscellaneous
$155,195 or total contributions of $383,558.00. This
is $54.41 per member as against $49.52 of last year.
Certified copies of the 1926 synodical minutes will be
deposited in TUESDAY the deposit EVENING, vault of the JUNE Second 12, National 1928 Bank of
N. S. Synod Pittsburgh. reconvened at 7:00 Respectfully o'clock, was submitted, called to order
