vantages of all the regular courses. The professors were granted
the privilege of engaging in other work with an adjustment
of salary. Prof. McKnight was granted leave of absence from
the last month of the Seminary year that he might go to
Ireland. He doubled his work during the month of March so
that Mr. Lathom received the full instruction of Prof. Mc-
Knight's courses. Prof. Wylie, who had given over his time to
Prof. McKnight during March, took the full time of the student
during April.
The Annual meeting of the Board was held May 1, 1928, in
the Seminary building. The officers elected for the ensuing
year were W. J. Coleman, Chairman, Robert Park, Secretary.
The professors submitted their reports of the work done
during the year. Final examination papers were submitted for
review, and two oral examinations were held before the Board.
In the absence of Prof. McKnight, E. L. McKnight examined
Mr. Lathom on the Epistle to the Philippians, and Prof. Wylie,
on the history of the doctrine of the Kingdom of Christ. In
the afternoon Mr. Lathom preached in the Wilkinsburg church
and was presented with his diploma of graduation by Prof. R.
C. Wylie.
The reports of the professors emphasize the situation confronting
the seminary and the church. In the absence of any
first' or second year students, the Seminary is totally dependent
upon the entering class for students this year. We are
happy to report that there are prospects of four or five new
students in September.
It is worthy of note that neither professor is present at
this meeting of Synod. Prof. McKnight being absent, due to his
work across the water, and Prof. Wylie, due to a serious illness
which began the day after the closing of the seminary.
Dr. Wylie is commended to the prayers of the Synod and the
Church.
The Treasurer's report shows the following balances:

F. M. Foster was appointed to represent the Board before
the co-ordinating committee, and was instructed to request
$4,000; $3,500 for current account, and $500 for library fund.

the work of the Board. The Board recommends the election of
D. H. Elliott, co-pastor with the late R. C. Reed, to membership
on the Board.
