MINUTES OF THE SYNOD OF THE sections of Chapters 29 and 30 of the Testimony, submitted to the sessions by the Synod of 1926, was postponed last year to this Synod. A notice to this effect was published in the Christian Nation, and a number of sessions that failed to vote last year sent in their vote this year. The original copies of the reports of all the sessions voting both last year and this are present and ready for action of Synod. Recommendations: 1. That the hours of meeting be fixed as follows: 9 to 12 a. m.; 2 to 5 p. m.; and the evening sessions and Conferences from 7:30 to 9. 2. That one-half hour following roll call each morning be given to a devotional service in accordance with the program prepared by the Committee on Devotional Exercises, and published in the Docket. 3. That the rule of last year that the roll should be called but once a day after the second day be made permanent. 4. That the sermon of the retiring Moderator be requested for publication. 5. That the Presbyteries be granted the privilege of holding meetings at Winona Lake during the intervals of this Synod. 6. That the Committee on Nominations of this Synod be instructed to prepare a list of those to whom letters of sympathy should be written, and to name those who shall prepare such letters on behalf of Synod. 7. That the Committee on Nominations propose the name of one to be the Moderator's Alternate to preach the sermon at the opening of Synod next year. 8. That the Committee on Home Missions be instructed to straighten out the tangle in the membership of the Jewish Mission Board. 9. That the Committee to which was referred the vote on the Overture last year be revived to consider the vote again this year, and report suitable action by Synod. 10. That the hearing of the representative of the American Bible Society, Near East Relief, and the Lord's Day Alliance, in the order named, and each for ten minutes, be made the order of the day immediately following recess on Monday. 11. That the following replies to communications of Synod be now read: 1. Letter from the Tri-Presbyterial, White Lake, New York. 2. Letter from the Levant Commission. 3. Letter from the Larnaca congregation. 4. Letter from the Presbytery in China. 5. Acknowledgment of resolutions on International Relations. 6. Letter from the World Conference on Faith and Order. D. REFORMED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 7 A special item from the report of the Commission having oversight of the organization of the Department of Young People's Work and Home Resources was submitted and referred to a special committee, to be named by the Committee on Nominations. Synod adjourned with prayer by S. G. Conner, to meet tomorrow morning at 9:00 o'clock. THURSDAY FORENOON, JUNE 7, 1928. Synod met according to adjournment at 9:00 a. m., was called to order by the Moderator, who constituted the Court with prayer. The roll was called. Devotional exercises were led by M. Wylie Dougherty. The minutes of the previous session were read and approved. D. H. Elliott was authorized to extend an invitation to J. Campbell White, General Secretary of the Men's Church League, to address the Synod on Saturday evening, or at such time as he may be able to come.
