Objectives
To minimise any detrimental
impact upon the visual
amenity of a locality by
reducing prominence of
telecommunications
infrastructure
Comment
The scheme allows for buildings and structures to
have a maximum height of 8m, whereas the proposed
tower will be approximately 60m. The schedule
overrides the development standards. The Schedule
allows for a maximum height of 60m.
To protect important public
views such as vistas to
significant buildings,
streetscapes and heritage
areas.
To avoid obstruction of
private views form the
building line/principle
windows by
telecommunications lines.
There are no recognised significant public buildings,
streetscapes or heritage areas in proximity to the
proposed development.
There are no telecommunication lines involved in the
development.
Residential Amenity
Objectives
To protect residential amenity
Comment
The proposed development will not be located on
residential land use areas. The nearest residence
will be approximately 145m from the nearest
residence on Edward Street.
