Objectives
To protect threatened species
or species at risk of becoming
a threatened species and the
habitats, ecological
communities or places
essential to their continuing
existence.
Comment
The proposed development will not be located on
residential land use areas. The nearest residence will
be approximately 145m from the nearest residence
on Edward Street.
To protect areas as having
significant natural values.
To protect flora and fauna,
habitats and ecological
communities.
There are no recognised areas with significant natural
values identified in the near vicinity.
The area has been cleared and grazed by stock for a
number of years and could not be said to noted as
having flora, fauna, habitats and ecological
communities that would be under threat.
Land Stability
Objectives
To ensure that
telecommunications
infrastructure does not
cause land instability.
Comment
The development is not perceived to be a potential
cause of land instability. There is potential for soil
erosion to occur on a limited basis whilst during
construction. This can be ameliorated through
conditioning the required building permit.
Agricultural Land
Objectives
To protect the productive
capacity and efficient
farming operations of
agricultural land.
Comment
The land adjoining the eastern boundary is zoned
Rural but has little agricultural potential as it is
marginal land for cropping and undersized (13.5ha)
for effective grazing of stock
