The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Univer

applications for a full-time faculty position at
the Distinguished Professor level for the 2009–10

eligible for appointment with tenure and be an internationally
recognized scholar in pharmaceutics or a
related scientific discipline whose research programs
directly impact on the design, formulation, delivery,
and development of macromolecular drugs (proteins,

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITIONS IN
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING,

(HSEAS) seeks applicants for openings in Environmental
Sciences and Engineering at the level of
tenure-track assistant professors. Appointments will
be made in hydrology and applied chemistry/chemical

CHEMISTRY FACULTY POSITIONS – DEPAUL
UNIVERSITY
The Department of Chemistry at DePaul University
invites applications for two tenure-track positions at
the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in Autumn
2009. The first position is in medicinal chemistry for
which candidates should possess a Ph.D. in synthetic
organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry. The second
position is in bioanalytical chemistry. In this case,
candidates should have a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry.
Applicants must be able to teach and conduct research
in a liberal arts environment that emphasizes teaching
excellence and close faculty-student interaction.
Postdoctoral experience is required. The ACS-certified
program at DePaul offers B.S. degrees in chemistry
and biochemistry and several M.S. degree options.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach at all
levels of our program, plus courses in DePaul’s Liberal

TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN CHEMICAL
EDUCATION
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Arizona
State University seeks applications from highly
qualified candidates for a tenure-track position in
Chemical Education at the Assistant Professor rank,
commencing August 2009. The successful candidate
must hold a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or chemical education
and will be expected to build a strong externally
funded research program in Chemical Education,
develop and teach courses at both the graduate and
undergraduate levels, and participate in governance
and service committees within the department. The
candidate will preferably have experience in non-traditional
methods of instruction such as guided inquiry
and collaborative learning. Arizona State University
