Extending successful faculty recruitment in the last two years, these are part of a strategic plan to expand our department within a larger WPI Life Science research initiative focused in biophysics, green energy, and regenerative bioscience. A new $70M state-of-the-art research facility hosting the Life Science research departments and WPI Bioengineering Institute anchors this effort. Successful candidates for the junior position should have postdoctoral research experience and are expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program. The ideal applicants at the Associate level will have an established record of research productivity, demonstrated success securing research funding, and evidence of teaching excellence. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers both undergraduate and graduate (Ph.D.) degrees. WPI is a private, nationally ranked technological university with a student population of 4,450, including 1,300 full-time and part-time graduate students.
