Overhauling the engine 10<br />
Injection pump setting<br />
Remove the injector pump rear cap and fit dial gauge<br />
support Mot. 856 and a dial gauge fitted with an<br />
adapter.<br />

Turn the engine over once and calibrate the dial gauge<br />
on the bottom dead centre of the injection pump<br />
piston (check that the dial gauge pin can move freely<br />
in the pump body).<br />
Turn the timing to the setting point (pin the engine<br />
using Mot. 861 or Mot. 1054).<br />
