TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS<br />

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:<br />

A Gas Turbine Power Station of 200 MW to 300 MW capacity at site conditions (35 0 C,<br />

1.013 bar, 98% R.H.) is intended to be set up by Bangladesh Power Development Board<br />

at the specified space within existing Ghorasal Thermal Power Station, Ghorasal,<br />

Narashingdi.<br />

The proposed Plant consisting of minimum 2 to maximum 6 identical units will be<br />

installed in the vacant space adjacent to the existing power station, as Shown at the site<br />

layout. The Project will be implemented on turnkey basis from GOB fund.<br />

The Power Station will be connected with the Ghorasal 230 kV Grid Sub-Station through<br />

underground cable and other electrical equipment as shown in the single line diagram.<br />

Climatic Conditions: Sub-Tropical Monsoon<br />

[To be considered in Temperature: 5 0 C to 45 0 C<br />

Plant design] Relative Humidity: 36% to 100%<br />

Annual Rainfall: 120 cm to 345 cm<br />

Wind Velocity: 160 km/hr<br />

Seismic Horizontal Ground Acceleration: 0.1g<br />

The project may be classified into the following broad areas. Details are however given<br />

later in the scope of work.<br />

1. Survey preparation of drawing, land development, landscaping of the<br />

proposed site.<br />

2. The supply and construction of the Power plant equipment.<br />

3. Equipping of 230 KV material/equipment at the 230 switchyard<br />

premises as per single line diagram enclosed.<br />

4. Supply and Construction of all civil work including control room,<br />

administrative building, internal roads, boundary etc.<br />

5. Supply and construction of entire Fuel system for the plant, fire<br />

protection system etc.<br />
