Whether you are a big-city
caffeine addict or prefer
the charm of small-town
coffee shops, Indiana, Pa. has a café
that suits every coffee lover’s needs.
Indiana may be a small, college town,
but with two cafés and three coffee
shops, everyone can find their favorite
flavor.
For those who enjoy a bolder, richer
flavor in a more modern setting,
Starbucks Coffee House has two locations
in Indiana. A smaller version
of Starbucks is located in the Folger
Food Court on campus, but there will
be no Folgers coffee in your cup.
“We’re owned by Aramark, but we
have the Starbucks name and we sell
the drinks,” said Elizabeth J. Strager,
a native of Moon Township, Pa. and a
junior speech and language pathology
major at IUP. “The only thing that
makes us different from a real Starbucks
is that we don’t get the same
benefits as Starbucks employees, like
health care, vacation time and a free
one-pound bag of coffee each month.”
With two relaxing armchairs located
in the back and 10 two-person
tables lining the walls, Starbucks is a
great place to sit and talk over coffee
and a pastry or to grab and go. Most
of the Starbucks favorites, like their
café white mocha and caramel
