always screen for current safety.<br />

they wish to say more.<br />
► Give her or him as much control as possible,<br />
including passing on questions, taking breaks etc.<br />
and choosing the setting.<br />
► If the client becomes too upset, redirect by talking<br />
about their strengths, the present day, and ask<br />
them to talk about how they have gotten through.<br />
