Originally a Bengals college free agent signee,
Coats has played in 31 of 32 games over his fi rst two
seasons … Played in every game in 2008, seeing action
at both FB and TE, with two receptions for 19 yards and
one special teams tackle … Helped team post its two
best rushing games in the fi nal two weeks … Became
an unsigned exclusive rights player when his contract
expired after ’08 season, and re-signed with Bengals
on 2-12-09.
2008 HIGHLIGHTS: Logged one reception for 11
yards on Oct. 5 at Dallas … Also at Dallas, threw one of
the key blocks on Glenn Holt’s 60-yard kickoff return …
On Dec. 14 vs. Washington, recorded one reception for
