Course range snapshot<br />
Graduate Diploma programme<br />
The Graduate Diploma programme is designed for<br />
students who have completed a first degree or<br />
diploma but not achieved the necessary academic<br />
qualifications for direct entry to a UK Masters<br />
degree. It is also suitable for students who have<br />
studied a different subject at undergraduate level<br />
and have insufficient knowledge <strong>of</strong> their intended<br />
field <strong>of</strong> postgraduate study. The programme<br />
combines subject modules, academic English<br />
study and the development <strong>of</strong> essential advancedlevel<br />
study skills. There are two pathways in:<br />
• Business<br />
• Economics.<br />
Successful completion <strong>of</strong> the Graduate Diploma,<br />
subject to meeting the specific grades for entry,<br />
<strong>of</strong>fers direct entry to a range <strong>of</strong> Masters courses in<br />
Finance, Management, Marketing and Diplomacy at<br />
<strong>UEA</strong> <strong>London</strong>, as well as Business- and Economicsrelated<br />
courses at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>East</strong> <strong>Anglia</strong>’s<br />
campus in Norwich. Start dates available in<br />
September and January.<br />

Progression and outcomes<br />
English language courses<br />
INTO <strong>UEA</strong> <strong>London</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers a range <strong>of</strong> year-round<br />
and intensive summer courses in academic<br />
English to prepare international students for<br />
successful study at a UK university.<br />
English for <strong>University</strong> Study<br />
English for <strong>University</strong> Study will raise your level<br />
<strong>of</strong> English language to the level needed to gain<br />
entry to either pre-university academic<br />
programmes <strong>of</strong>fered at the INTO Centre, or to<br />
academic programmes at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>East</strong><br />
<strong>Anglia</strong> in <strong>London</strong> or Norwich.<br />

Pre-sessional English<br />
These courses are designed to help you improve<br />
your English if you already hold an <strong>of</strong>fer to start<br />
an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at<br />
<strong>UEA</strong> <strong>London</strong>. Pre-sessional courses are 12, 8<br />
or 4 weeks in length and are only <strong>of</strong>fered in the<br />
summer period (June to September).<br />

to help you improve your general English language<br />
ability for use in everyday situations for either<br />

Student placement services<br />
To ensure that you are fully supported as you<br />
take the next step towards studying for a UK<br />
university degree, INTO <strong>of</strong>fers a range <strong>of</strong> free<br />
student placement services.<br />
Our dedicated <strong>University</strong> Progression Officer<br />
and Student Placement Co-ordinator will<br />
provide you with practical advice on the study<br />
options available to you and assist you with<br />
completing your university application.<br />
Based within the INTO Centre, these<br />
individuals, along with other staff, will ensure<br />
that you are provided with the very best<br />
counselling and advice in relation to course<br />
choices, in addition to arranging for you to visit<br />
the academic departments that you are most<br />
interested in.<br />
Other forms <strong>of</strong> help and support available to<br />
you will include:<br />
• one-to-one student counselling to help you<br />
select the most appropriate course to<br />
achieve your academic goals<br />
• practical advice and assistance with all stages<br />
<strong>of</strong> the university application process, including<br />
help with writing a personal statement<br />
• preparation for university interviews, including<br />
practice interviews<br />
• opportunities to attend presentations by<br />
university admissions tutors<br />
• assistance with attending university open<br />
days and higher education fairs<br />
• opportunities to attend talks delivered by<br />
former INTO students<br />
• access to university <strong>prospectus</strong>es in the<br />
Learning Resources Centre<br />
• assistance with finding an alternative<br />
university place if you need to consider<br />
other options.<br />
