MSc Marketing and Management<br />

MSc Marketing and Management<br />

The MSc Marketing and Management is designed to meet<br />

the needs <strong>of</strong> non-business graduates who have not previously<br />

specialised in marketing or management but now wish to<br />

develop their skills for a role in marketing, both in the private<br />

and public sector. Whilst featuring specialist marketing<br />

modules, an understanding and appreciation <strong>of</strong> other business<br />

functions within organisations is also developed throughout<br />

the programme.<br />

Academic requirements<br />

Good 2:2 degree (or international equivalent) in a<br />

non-business related subject. Students who have<br />

previously studied business or management may be<br />

considered for entry on a case-by-case basis.<br />

English language requirements<br />

IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum <strong>of</strong> 6.0 in each subskill)<br />

On completion <strong>of</strong> this course you will be able to:<br />

• contribute to the development <strong>of</strong> brands and<br />

their market places, through the ability to<br />

analyse markets and their behaviours<br />

• assess critically the relationship between<br />

organisations, their external context and their<br />

management process<br />

• review critically and apply creatively the body <strong>of</strong><br />

knowledge relating to organisations, their<br />

external context and their management process<br />

• make informed judgements about the<br />

appropriate application <strong>of</strong> theory to managerial<br />

practice in relation to organisations, their<br />

external context and their management process<br />

• evaluate and recommend options for the<br />

improvement <strong>of</strong> managerial practice in relation<br />

to organisations, their external context and their<br />

management process.<br />

Students who do not meet the minimum requirement<br />

can apply for English for <strong>University</strong> Study or our<br />

Pre-sessional English course.<br />

Tuition fees for 2012–2013 had not been finalised at the<br />
