Characteristics
• The project area comprises a total of 11
plots which are all controlled by Multi.
• The largest plot is owned by our partner
Sparkasse Hildesheim and is currently
in use as bank/office
• Other plots are currently in use as
parking and housing
• Some owners have a right of use which
will be cancelled by the city of
Hildesheim
• The city has started the zoning process
Site access
• Pedestrian access is very good and
easy coming from all directions
• Car access to the site is provided
Kardinal-Bertram-Strasse which is
connected to the main car axis in the
city
• From southern direction via
Bohlweg
• From eastern direction via
Schuhstrasse or Kaiserstrasse
• From northerm direction via
Bisschot-Janssen-Strasse
• From western direction via
Schützenallee or via
Dammstrasse/Pfafenstieg
• Entrance to and exit from parking
garage will be situated on Kardinal-
Bertram-Strasse.
• Bus stops of city lines 2 (Nordstadt – Th.
Strom Strasse), 3 (Hiildesheimer Wald
– Itzum) and 106 (Hildesheimer Wald –
Am Burghof) are near the site
Vicinity
• To the north: Schützenallee/
Kaiserstrasse (section innercity ring),
which is an important (car) traffic axis.
Opposite the street, mixed commercial
and residential.
• North of the site and the Kaiserstrasse
is the train station area situated; this is
an access route to the city with some
shops
• To the east behind Kaufhof is the
historic market square, where most of
the buildings were rebuilt in original
shape after World War II.
• Café’s, restaurants, as well as a Van
der Valk Hotel are located around the
square.
• South of the site is the continuation of
the prime pedestrian retail area –
Hohen Weg – with brands like H&M, S.
Oliver, Jack & Jones and Deichmann.
• To the west, on the other side of the
innercity ring: mainly residential area.
