Profile:
AEstablished in 1996 by a group of volunteers, the Cambodian Children Against
Starvation and Violence Association (CCASVA: pronounced see-kaz-var) is a local, non
partisan, non religious, NGO. CCASVA specialises in assisting and working with street,
orphaned and vulnerable children who are considered to be at high risk of physical
or sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking. CCASVA is committed to addressing
serious social issues through programs of prevention, rehabilitation, education and
reintegration.
CCASVAs vision is to ensure that ‘all Cambodian children, especially street and working
children, receive quality education and support to increase their quality of life, human
rights, goals and aspirations’.
Objectives :
• Prevention and Protection. To reduce economic exploitation, violence,
addiction, crime and HIV/AIDS infection of children within Cambodian
communities.
• Healing and Education. To improve access to health services,
counselling, education, voca-tional training and legal services while
providing secure and sustainable accommodation.
• Our Commitment. 100% of donations are allocated directly to our
programs, not to marketing initiatives or administration.
