Vishwa Hindu Parishad alleges Akhilesh Yadav (26)
Lucknow: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has alleged that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was following the
foot steps of his father and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav of pursuing an 'anti- Hindu' policy to appease
Muslims. The VHP has strongly objected to denial of permission to its acting chief Praveen Bhai Togadia
when he tried to enter riot-torn Faizabad recently. Central secretary of VHP Purushottam Narayan Singh
said that the Faizabad administration had dashed off a fax to the outfit's Delhi office and stated that
Togadi was denied permission to visit the riot affected city. Singh said that the top VHP leader was
scheduled to arrive at Ayodhya on October 31 and supposed to attend a five -day programme there. "
However, the Faizabad district administration sent a fax on October 30 informing that Togadia could not
visit the strife-torn twin cities of Faizabad and Ayodhya," Singh said adding that Togadia did not have any
plan to visit the areas under curfew at the moment. The VHP claimed that riots in Faizabad were the
results of Muslim appeasement policy adopted by SP government. " But the SP must keep in mind that
the VHP will launch a decisive battle against its adversaries and root them out," Singh. He claimed that
the Hindus were subjected to atrocities during the riots and the police and administration also acted
against them afterwards. (Pioneer 1/11/12)
RSS passes buck to BJP on charges against Nitin Gadkari (26)
CHENNAI: The RSS on Friday took the stand that BJP president Nitin Gadkari should not be singled out
on the issue of land grabbing charges and it was for the party to decide if he should step down. Fielding
questions from reporters on the sidelines of the RSS national council meeting that got underway on
Friday at Kelambakkam on the city outskirts, the Sangh's joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosbale at
first tried to distance himself from the Gadkari issue. But on persistent questioning on whether the BJP
chief would be advised to resign as he is a part of the RSS, Hosbale admitted that discussion has taken
place (before this meet) and the Sangh believed that due process of law should take its course if guilt is
established. "Why single out Gadkari on the land issue as others too are involved in land acquisition or
face corruption charges," Hosbale, who is regarded as the number 3 in the RSS, asked. He said public
morality is supreme for the RSS and the law should take its own course. Asked if Gadkari would be asked
by the RSS to quit in the context of morality, he shot back, "It's the BJP's decision as to who should be in
the chair or relinquish it. B S Yedurappa was asked by the BJP to resign chief ministership in Karnataka
after he was indicted by the state Lokayukta, he pointed out. On anti-corruption crusader Arvind Kejriwal's
charges, he said it is for the BJP and the Congress to answer. Earlier, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat lit the
traditional lamp to inaugurate the three-day meet. Around 400 delegates are participating in the closed
