English/Language Arts<br />
Four units of credit in English/Language Arts shall be required of all students. A full unit of<br />
credit in American Literature/Composition and a full unit of credit in Ninth Grade Literature and<br />
Composition are required by the state of Georgia. <strong>Oconee</strong> <strong>County</strong> also requires that all students<br />
take Tenth Grade Literature and Composition and English Literature and Composition.<br />
Mathematics<br />
Four units of credit in mathematics shall be required of all students. A student’s math track<br />
depends upon the year that he or she entered high school. For students who entered high school<br />
prior to 20<strong>12</strong>, the on-level track consists of Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Mathematics III, and<br />
Mathematics IV. Students on the accelerated track will take Accelerated Mathematics I,<br />
Accelerated Mathematics II, Accelerated Mathematics III, and either an Advanced Placement<br />
course (Calculus or Statistics) or regular Calculus. Students who struggle in Mathematics may<br />
