Measure resistance between relay<br />
Terminal 87 and Socket A (Y/GN wire)<br />
of Connector [83B]. Wiggle harness.<br />
Is resistance continuously less than 0.5 ohms?<br />
YES<br />

Reas<strong>se</strong>mble coil and fuel tank. Measure<br />
voltage drop between battery (positive<br />
lead) and Terminal 87 (negative lead) on<br />
system relay with engine running.<br />
Is voltage drop less than 1.0 volt?<br />
Find source of<br />
intermittent and repair.<br />
YES<br />
NO<br />
Problem is fuel related.<br />

Repeat voltage drop test after moving<br />
negative lead to Terminal 30. With<br />
engine running, is voltage drop less<br />

moving negative lead to 15 amp<br />
ECM fu<strong>se</strong> (BE/GY wire). With<br />
engine running, is voltage drop less<br />

Repair.<br />
BE/GY wire.<br />
Repeat voltage drop test after<br />
moving negative lead to 15 amp<br />
ECM fu<strong>se</strong> (R wire). With engine<br />
running, is voltage drop less than<br />
1.0 volt?<br />

NO<br />
Replace 15 amp<br />
ECM fu<strong>se</strong>.<br />
