One of the finest young talents in Singapore and even beyond,
CSC’s Aloysius Yapp represented the Club in both the National
Under 19 Snooker and Pool Championships. Up against the
finest local youths, Aloysius was unfazed even when facing
older opponents. In a field of 25, Aloysius made it to the semifinals
of the Snooker event where he was defeated by finalist
Ho Cheng Kang. In his pet event, Aloysius emerged as the
National Under 19 Pool champion out of 30 players when he
triumphed over Leonard Wan. We look forward earnestly as
Aloysius continues to fly the CSC flag high in both local and
international events!
Inter-Social Club Golf Tournament 2010 Lam Jick Sern
Back in October 2009, a group of Golf enthusiasts from different social clubs without any golf courses gathered to moot the
inauguration of the Inter-Social Club Golf Tournament. Five months on, after extensive planning and organising, the first game
was finally held at Warren Golf & Country Club on 5 March 2010.
Singapore Recreation Club was the host club for the first game, with a total of six pioneer clubs participating. It proved to be a
huge success and Chinese Swimming Club would be hosting the second game at Keppel Club on 2 July. The final game would
be held in October, where the first overall champion will emerge.
