MassDOT Materials SharePoint Site Novice Users Training Program

The purpose of this subfolder is to store all the approved Metals group related forms. All the
forms stored in this folder are “read only” and the users cannot make edits to the forms that are
in the approved folder. Only Metals Control may move files into the Approved folder.

Misc Folder:
Purpose:
This is the folder where the all the documentation that doesn’t fall under the Project Produced
Materials (Acceptance) are uploaded.
This is the folder where the all the Misc. contract related forms are uploaded. Users can create
their own subfolders within this folder.
Naming Convention:
The naming convention that needs to be followed for any documents uploaded to this folder is
as follows:
• VI-RMS902-1 (Visual inspection)
• VI-RMS902-2 (Visual inspection)
• QPL-RMS903-1 (QPL Verification)
• QPL-RMS903-2 (QPL Verification)
• CC-1.pdf (Certificate of Compliance)
• CC-2.pdf (Certificate of Compliance)
• NU-RMS904-1 (Notice of Unused Materials)
• NU-RMS904-2 (Notice of Unused Materials)
• DWG-1.pdf (Catalog Cuts and any Shop Drawings)
• DWG-2.pdf (Catalog Cuts and any Shop Drawings)
• XXXX-RMS769-1 (XXXX=short abbreviation for the material on the
“Sample of” RMS769 form, i.e., Bearing Pads = BrgPd, Clay Brick =
ClayB, Loam Borrow = LoamB, etc...)
