Even before the days of ISO9001 and AS9100,<br />
Crescent’s philosophy was always to service our<br />
customers to the best of our ability. The old adage of<br />
“You can’t make all the people happy all of the time”<br />
certainly holds true but we like to think that we make<br />
most of them happy most of the time. In our ever<br />
expanding attempt to keep that number growing, we<br />
have and are implementing changes on a continual<br />
basis. So, you ask, what have we done for your lately<br />
And the answer……<br />
Crescent Launches A New Website<br />
In March <strong>2012</strong>, Crescent launched our new website.<br />
Please visit www.crescentmanufacturing.com and see<br />
our whole new look. We really wanted to emphasize our<br />
pride in being able to say “Proudly Made in the U.S.A”.<br />
We want our customers to be reassured that the quality<br />
products they have become accustomed to continue to<br />
be manufactured at our world headquarters here in<br />
beautiful downtown Burlington, CT. We are a patriotic<br />
group and the red, white, and blue means something to<br />
us. Besides our new look we have changed the format<br />
to be more user friendly for quick access to the<br />
information you are looking for. Crescent’s available<br />
inventory is broken down for fast reference and is<br />
updated weekly. Don’t forget our Stocking Program<br />
where we keep “off the shelf” availability on an extensive<br />
list of MS parts for your convenience. Other information<br />
includes various reference charts, a full list of all AN,<br />
MS, and NAS part numbers presently being<br />
manufactured by Crescent, and other product<br />
information.<br />
“A Howdy Do” From Crescent<br />
Another new addition to the website is a smile and<br />
a handshake from our International Sales division to<br />
distributors around the world. You might not be able to<br />
find Burlington, CT on most maps but that hasn’t<br />
stopped us from inviting new customers to experience<br />
what we have to offer. Our international base keeps<br />
growing and we wanted to offer a “Hello” and an<br />
invitation to visit us in their language. As new countries<br />
join us we are thrilled to have their flags join ours in a<br />
global initiative to provide quality fasteners to the world.<br />

Sales Force Expansion<br />
Crescent likes to make ourselves available to our<br />
customers on a face to face basis as often as we can.<br />
We continue to do this by participating in various regional<br />
table talks and the National Industrial Fastener Show in<br />
Las Vegas each year. We also travel to meet with<br />
customers across the country usually with our Outside<br />
Sales Reps. New to Crescent is Robbie Gilcrist of<br />
Capital Marketing located in High Point, NC, representing<br />
us in North & South Carolina, and Virginia. Also, Todd<br />
Walters located in Lincoln, NE, representing Crescent in<br />
Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Please visit<br />
our new website for the full listing of our Outside Sales<br />
Reps with contact information if you would like them to<br />
pay a visit. In addition to standard sales calls, Crescent<br />
offers what we refer to as “Lunch & Learn” sessions<br />
where we will come in and meet with your staff to<br />
educate them in Crescent’s capabilities and products<br />
over lunch. Just give our sales staff or our Rep in your<br />
area a call if you would be interested in a visit.<br />
We would love to say “howdy do” to our fellow<br />
patriots as well.<br />
Process Improvements<br />
Crescent has expanded our workforce to increase<br />
our productivity. We have conducted time studies to<br />
better determine our quoted deliveries. We have<br />
expanded our outside processing vendor base to<br />
improve turn around. All in our effort to better service<br />
our customers. Our magic wand is out for repair but<br />
slowly these changes are making us able to provide<br />
more accurate information and respond to the needs of<br />
our customers. Crescent still offers paid expedite<br />
services to meet specified quick deliveries but our goal<br />
is to be able to fill your orders within the acknowledged<br />
lead-time. Crescent wants to extend our “THANKS” for<br />
your patience and for you to know that we have not been<br />
“Happy” either with our many late deliveries. No<br />
complaint ever falls on deaf ears and improvements are<br />
being made.<br />
Well, that about sums it up for now. Our goal –<br />
happy customers all the time. We’ll keep trying and<br />
hope to hear from you soon. Thanks to you all for your<br />
continued support!
