KB Performance Pistons<br />

Now you can have the same pistons that have become synonymous with<br />

drag racing and high performance. Designed <strong>by</strong> the radical racer himself,<br />

Keith Black, these lightweight pistons are diamond machined and held to<br />

plus or minus one gram within the set. Skirt size tolerance from piston to<br />

piston is less than .0005". Made of high-strength T6 heat-treated, 390<br />

hypereutectic aluminum alloy, they yield better thermal efficiency with less<br />

expansion, and superior wear characteristics. They can run with less than<br />

.001" piston-to-wall clearance with no scoring - the tightest clearance in<br />

the industry. KB pistons can be installed tighter than other performance<br />

pistons. A close-fitting piston rocks less, supports the ring better and seals<br />

the engine for maximum power. When a loose fit engine is desired, the<br />

rigid skirt design of the KB piston allows the builder a choice without fear<br />

of piston damage.The thermal efficiency of the 390 alloy allows engine timing<br />

to be reduced and the tight clearance virtually eliminates piston noise.<br />

S&S Forged Piston Kits<br />

S&S pistons are designed with maximum piston/engine life and performance<br />

in mind. Features include:<br />

• Offset wrist pin to reduce piston slap and noise<br />

• Piston-to-piston clearance at the bottom of the stroke is concentrated in<br />

the rear piston so a longer piston skirt can be maintained on the most<br />

critical area - the rear of both pistons<br />

Fit Big Twins from 1936 thru 1999 with stock or overlength 35/8" Big Bore<br />

cylinders, and strokes from 331/32" (stock 74") to 43/4" as well as 45/8" stroke<br />

S&S Sidewinder ® kits. Each piston includes rings, wrist pin and wrist pin<br />
