Despite the comparatively low latitude of Canada’s southern states, the country offers<br />
significant scope for polar travel and adventure.<br />
Permissions<br />
There have been major changes in Canada since the April 1999 when the new territory of<br />
Nunavut came into being, taking in the central and eastern portions of the Northwest<br />
Territories. So make sure you know which part you want to visit. National parks in Canada<br />
have restricted access.<br />
Travel<br />
Yellowknife, NWT and Iqualuit, Nunavut serve as the main administrative and access<br />
points into the Canadian Arctic.<br />
