Study Methodology and Work Plan<br />

2.1 The Team for the Study<br />

The study team consisted of experienced and qualified<br />

public health specialist, anthropologists, development study<br />

specialists and sociologists.<br />

2.2 Inception Meeting<br />

The AAA core team met the SCF team to discuss the<br />

assignment threadbare. The purpose of this meeting was<br />

to have detailed insights about the work to be carried out,<br />

precisely understand the expectations of the SCF/US, and<br />

reach a common understanding about the outputs.<br />

2.3 Study Design and Methodology<br />

The formative research was carried out through review of<br />

literature, Key Informant interviews, in-depth interviews,<br />

8 case-studies and FGDs in the districts with the selected<br />

personnel as follows:<br />

The process for the study was as follows:<br />

Guiding Document’s Review: The AAA core team<br />

obtained relevant document from the SCF/US and from<br />

other sources to compile and assess information about the<br />

study topics.<br />

Development of Study Tools: Four study tools (FGD<br />

and in-depth interview guidelines) were prepared:<br />

Tool 1: Guidelines for FGD with Mothers<br />

Tool 2: Guidelines for In-depth Interview with Mothers<br />

Tool 3: Guidelines for In-depth Interview with Key<br />

Informants<br />
