Sock it to them with fun, festive products
Sorry to spring the festive season on you so
early, but for the promotional gifts industry, Christmas
always comes early!
Myrtle Beach have come up with a couple of
“ho ho ho” gifts that will make even the biggest
party-poopers feel a little festive and add atmosphere
to any Christmas Party.
Santa hats are not exactly in short supply
around December, but Myrtle Beach’s entry, a
snazzy-looking number in tartan.
We’re not sure what clan Santa’s from but
it’s certainly a lot of fun, and is decorated
with the traditional white pompom.
A spokesman for Myrtle Beach said: “The
cap is the perfect outfit, not only at Christmas
parties but also in pre-Christmas snowball
fights. The fleecy brim keeps your
ears warm even in freezing temperatures.”
Personally, we think
it might be a bit of an easy
target in a snowball fight, but
there you go.
The matching Tartan
Santa Sock also shows that
Christmassy items don’t always
have to be red and white.
It’s certain to attract the attention of
Santa Claus. These products are available
through Cybernecard in the UK – for more,
Innovative coating keeps you
looking cool and safe from sun
“Black is beautiful” is evidently
the message Diaber is aiming
to put over with its new range of
black polo shirts for women and
men, unveiled in its own James
& Nicholson brand.
And they not only look cool – they
are cool, thanks to their innovative
“Coldblack” coating.
This not only prevents the shirt
from heating up in the sun, it also
protects the wearer from dangerous
UV rays.
Coldblack was developed by German
company Schöller Technologies
AG, with which Daiber has successfully
cooperated for many years.
As dark-coloured garments absorb
more warmth than light-coloured
textiles, Coldblack reflects the visible
and invisible part of the light and so
improves the warmth management
of the garment.
The test results are impressive –
Swiss test labatory Empa examined
the performance of the shirt with a
sweating torso (its material layers are
Many of you will no doubt have heard that
Callaway Golf Apparel is no longer available
through Ashworth UK.
Now, Fairway Identity Golf has announced
that through its direct links with Callaway
Golf, it is able to supply the label’s 2009
Corporate Apparel Range, with immediate
effect.
Worn by professionals such as Phil
Mickelson and Ernie Els, the Callaway
Corporate Range has a distinctive style that
captures the essence of the game whilst being
designed to fit the lifestyle of today’s corporate
world.
based on human skin).
The test showed that the warmth
absorption of the Coldblack shirts
was 50 degrees less than comparable
products.
Furthermore, the researchers
found that compared with other
shirts, wearers of the Coldblack shirt
only needed to sweat around half
the amount of water to maintain a
comfortable body temperature, adding
to the clothing’s comfort.
A Diaber spokesman said: “Put into
practice, this means that a wearer of
a garment equipped with Coldblack
doesn’t sweat that much.
“This not only improves the wellbeing
of the wearer, it also improves
the performance and concentration.
“That’s why this new coating is so
interesting for all parts of promotional
wear; business shirts for business
people, working clothes for the craft
and service sector or leisure time
outfits. Coldblack wearerw can stay
cool in all situations.”
The innovative textile equipment
not only delivers more comfort, it
also protects from dangerous UVB
and UVA rays, which increase the risk
of skin cancer.
The first James & Nicholson products
which are equipped with the
textile innovation are these polo
shirts for men and women in black
and silver.
Further products featuring the new
coating will follow, says the company.
The Diaber range of clothing is
available in the UK through Cybernecard.
