95a is a great restaurant in Lafayette, located on the south
east side of 95th and Arapahoe. Their menu has a little
something for everyone. The entrees draw from traditional

28 tapas and small plates. As if all this were not enough,
95a also features a full sushi compliment with the freshest

trees to name a couple. All the rooms in the house have
very recently been re-outfitted in antiques dating from
the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. After our tour, we’ll head
to The Valley Inn for lunch. Entree range $9-$15.

Nederland Mining Museum
& Carousel of Happiness
See the various “tools of the trade” and get a close look
at the lives of the miners. See how drills to do the mining
changed as technology did. Ring a signal bell like the
miners did to tell the hoist operator to bring them up and
out of the mine. Learn about what was mined in Boulder
County with the mineral display. See indoor and outdoor
displays of trams, ore carts, engines, historic photographs
and rare mining claim maps at the Mining Museum.
After, head to The Carousel of Happiness; Colorado’s
magical menagerie featuring 56 whimsical, hand-carved
animals on a restored 1910 Looff carousel, turning to the
music of a 1913 Wurlitzer band organ. After that let’s
enjoy a delightful dinner in Nederland on your own at the
Black Forest Inn. Please bring cash or check. Entree range
$14 - $26.
