Support Groups<br />

At the <strong>Louisville</strong> <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Center</strong><br />

TRU Hospice <strong>Senior</strong> Widows’ Potluck: 2nd<br />

Tuesdays monthly, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12, Dec. 10 – 12<br />

noon-2pm. <strong>Senior</strong> widows gather together in a nurturing<br />

environment to support and be supported regarding grief<br />

challenges and life changes when a woman is widowed.<br />

Please bring a potluck dish to share with the group.<br />

Alzheimer’s Caregivers, 2nd Thursdays monthly,<br />

is composed of trained facilitators from the Alzheimer’s<br />

Association and other caregivers who care for people<br />

Diabetes Support Mondays, Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov.<br />

4, 11am-noon. Facilitated by a Registered Dietician<br />

from Avista Hospital, you will learn how to manage your<br />

diabetes, how to eat, stay healthy, and new ideas about<br />

nutrition.<br />

EGSMC Stroke Support GrouP for those who have<br />

recovered from a stroke. The group is a great resource for<br />

information and encouragement. They provide support,<br />

help you problem solve, learn about stroke and recovery<br />

issues, help you find local resources, or just have fun.<br />

Learn how to access local and regional transportation<br />

services and mobility options through a free telephone<br />

consultation with a mobility specialist from Via. Call 303-<br />

Via Mobility Services is a fullspectrum<br />

mobility manager providing<br />

accessible on-demand transportation,<br />

individual and group travel training and<br />

mobility options information and referral for older adults,<br />

people with disabilities, low-income individuals and others<br />

living with mobility limitations.<br />

Via’s on-demand transportation program provides<br />

a dedicated vehicle in <strong>Louisville</strong> Monday through Friday<br />

from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for any trip purpose within the<br />

community. Trips are also <strong>available</strong> to Lafayette and<br />

Superior Monday through Friday.<br />
