Support Groups
At the Louisville Senior Center
TRU Hospice Senior Widows’ Potluck: 2nd
Tuesdays monthly, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12, Dec. 10 – 12
noon-2pm. Senior widows gather together in a nurturing
environment to support and be supported regarding grief
challenges and life changes when a woman is widowed.
Please bring a potluck dish to share with the group.

Alzheimer’s Caregivers, 2nd Thursdays monthly,
Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, Dec. 12, 6-7:30 pm. This group
is composed of trained facilitators from the Alzheimer’s
Association and other caregivers who care for people

Alzheimer’s Association Early Stage
Dementia Support 4th Mondays monthly, Sept.
23, Oct. 28, Nov. 25, Dec. 23, 10-11:30am Two support
groups meet simultaneously - one for persons with the
diagnosis and the other for their care partners. Call Sharon

Diabetes Support Mondays, Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov.
4, 11am-noon. Facilitated by a Registered Dietician
from Avista Hospital, you will learn how to manage your
diabetes, how to eat, stay healthy, and new ideas about
nutrition.

support group for 55+ gay, lesbian, and transgender

7 – 8 pm. Groups available for men, women, or families.

EGSMC Stroke Support GrouP for those who have
recovered from a stroke. The group is a great resource for
information and encouragement. They provide support,
help you problem solve, learn about stroke and recovery
issues, help you find local resources, or just have fun.

Samaritan Conference Center in Lafayette. For more

services and mobility options through a free telephone
consultation with a mobility specialist from Via. Call 303-

Via Mobility Services is a fullspectrum
mobility manager providing
accessible on-demand transportation,
individual and group travel training and
mobility options information and referral for older adults,
people with disabilities, low-income individuals and others
living with mobility limitations.
Via’s on-demand transportation program provides
a dedicated vehicle in Louisville Monday through Friday
from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for any trip purpose within the
community. Trips are also available to Lafayette and
Superior Monday through Friday.
