Via’s on-demand transportation program also provides<br />

service to <strong>Louisville</strong> residents to travel to Boulder on<br />

Wednesdays and Fridays and to Longmont on Tuesdays<br />

on a space <strong>available</strong> basis. Ride requests may be made<br />

up to seven days in advance.<br />

Volunteer Opportunities<br />

RSVP – Retired <strong>Senior</strong> Volunteer Program,<br />

coordinated through Boulder County Care Connect.<br />

Join a diverse and talented team of volunteers who are<br />

making this community safe and comfortable for seniors<br />

and adults with disabilities. Volunteers are needed for:<br />

Medical Mobility, transportation to and from medical<br />

appointments; Carry-Out Caravan, grocery shop, deliver<br />

groceries, or take call-in orders; Fix-It, minor home repairs;<br />

& YardBusters, yard cleanup. For more information, call<br />

<strong>Senior</strong> Peer Counseling is a peer to peer volunteer<br />

program offering individual and group support to adults over<br />

60 living in Boulder County. Peer counselors participate<br />

in an eight week training and on going supervision. Peer<br />

counselors are warm and caring men and women with<br />

a special ability to listen and care and a desire to help<br />

Boulder County Respite and Companion<br />

Volunteer Program jointly sponsored by Boulder<br />

County Area Agency on Aging and local <strong>Senior</strong> Services,<br />

matches volunteers with older adults in the community<br />

who live alone or with a family caregiver. Volunteers<br />

visit their older partners two hours each week and<br />

provide friendship, emotional support, and companionlevel<br />

assistance with various activities, as well as respite<br />

for family caregivers. New volunteer trainings are held<br />

SNOWBUSTER<br />

Volunteers are needed to shovel snow this winter for<br />

seniors in our community. If you are interested, call 303-<br />

Recycling<br />

Eyeglasses – Drop your used eyeglasses in the Lions’<br />

Club recycling bin, located in the lobby.<br />

Cell phones – Drop your used cell phone in the dropoff<br />

box, located in the lobby. Cell phones are <strong>available</strong> for<br />

Foot and toenail care is provided by registered nurses from<br />

SummerCares, with advanced training in foot care. Includes<br />

assessment, foot soak, nails trimmed, callous care, and short<br />

foot massage. Perfect for those with diabetes or other foot<br />

care needs.<br />

MASSAGE THERAPY Treat yourself and release muscle<br />
