Our team of specialists help families with ongoing<br />
difficulties with disruptive children <strong>and</strong> stressful family<br />
relationships. We provide assessment <strong>and</strong>, in the<br />
majority of cases, treatment as well.<br />

Treatment<br />
Consultation<br />
The assessment lasts five hours <strong>and</strong> includes a history from parents,<br />
psychological assessment of the child, physical examination of the<br />
child, a team meeting to feedback to referrers, teachers or outside<br />
professionals if needed, <strong>and</strong> detailed verbal feedback to the family.<br />
This is followed by a written report <strong>and</strong> care plan which the family<br />
can comment on.<br />
Treatment comprises of a range of evidence-based approaches,<br />
including parent training to improve attachments <strong>and</strong> behaviour,<br />
work around family relationships <strong>and</strong> beliefs, CBT, medication, advice<br />
on alteration of the school environment <strong>and</strong> teaching approaches.<br />
We offer a consultation service to social services, <strong>CAMHS</strong> services<br />
<strong>and</strong> the voluntary sector.<br />

Criteria<br />
Eligibility<br />
• Three to eight years old<br />
• Male or female<br />
• Children with disruptive, difficult, or antisocial behaviour, who persistently behave in an aggressive or defiant way<br />
