RX 745. Advanced Pharmaceutical Analysis:<br />
An advanced course in pharmaceutical analysis.<br />
Emphasis is placed on the theory <strong>and</strong> practice<br />
<strong>of</strong> the chemical <strong>and</strong> instrumental methods<br />
used in the <strong>of</strong>ficial analysis <strong>of</strong> pharmaceuticals<br />
including raw materials <strong>and</strong> finished dosage<br />
forms. Special emphasis also is placed on the<br />
interpretation <strong>and</strong> evaluation <strong>of</strong> experimental<br />
data <strong>and</strong> importance <strong>of</strong> quality assurance.<br />
Prerequisite: Permission <strong>of</strong> instructor. (G)(3)<br />
RX 764. Pharmacology Techniques: A laboratory<br />
course that introduces the student to a<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> methodological <strong>and</strong> instrumented<br />
techniques commonly encountered in pharmacological<br />
research. Prerequisite: Permission <strong>of</strong><br />
the instructor. Four laboratory hours per week.<br />

Discussions <strong>and</strong> formal presentations<br />
covering basic concepts <strong>and</strong> recent advances in<br />

provides the student with in-depth knowledge<br />
<strong>of</strong> the regulatory process <strong>and</strong> with a working<br />
knowledge <strong>of</strong> existing legislation pertaining<br />
directly to the pharmaceutical industry. Prerequisite:<br />
RX 711 Management <strong>and</strong> Regulation.<br />

RX 773. <strong>Pharmacy</strong> Organizational Behavior:<br />
Provides a broad overview <strong>of</strong> the field to<br />
develop an underst<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>of</strong> the principles<br />
which govern human behavior in organizational<br />
settings. Will cover such issues as motivation,<br />
group dynamics, communication, leadership,<br />
change <strong>and</strong> culture. (G)(3)<br />
RX 774. <strong>Pharmacy</strong> Foundations in Economics:<br />
Examines the workings <strong>of</strong> markets, including<br />
product, labor, <strong>and</strong> financial markets <strong>and</strong> how<br />
prices, wages <strong>and</strong> interest rates are determined.<br />
<strong>The</strong> economy as a whole also is considered with<br />
a focus on unemployment, inflation, government<br />
