Conservators Sponge
The closed-cell structure is hydrophilic and
can be used for a wide variety of conservation
procedures. It is used in wet repairs, to remove
residual water, as the repair tissue does not
attach to the sponge. It also can absorb a
large amount of water rapidly, in the case of
accidental spills. The sponge can be shaped to
suit special needs by allowing it to dry out. It
then becomes hard and can be cut to desired
shape with a sharp knife. Simply immerse in
water for a few minutes, it then becomes soft
and is ready to use again.

Heavy-Duty Dust Cloths
Used For Wet and Dry Cleaning
These micro-fibre cloths clean without
chemicals. Made from polyester/polyamide
ultra microfibres. When damp, this soft cloth
cleans most surfaces; especially chrome,
stainless steel, brass, plastic and wood. When
used dry, the cloth has a natural positive
charge that attracts “negative” dust and
dirt. We also offer a second cloth, specially
made to clean glass surfaces gently and
immaculately without the use of chemicals.
Ideal for framed artwork glass. With normal
use and correct maintenance, both will last
several years and pay for themselves many
times over.
