Encapsulation Film Rolls
Archival polyester film—enduring, clear, acid-free protection for
documents and photographs. A variety of sizes for every application.
Easy to handle rolls are easily cut to size.
Because this material is inert it may safely be used for encapsulating letters,
documents, and old maps. It may also be used for mat windows, for
interleaving, for covering work tables and for many other archival

Pre-Made Encapsulation Units
Get the job done quickly with our Pre-Made Polyester Encapsulation
Units. Each unit comes complete with 2 sheets of 3 mil polyester and
4 strips of our Carmac Encapsulation Tape. Simply put document in
place, remove the paper strips from the adhesive and roll the other
sheet down for an instant seal. Use our Rubber Brayer to roll flat and
the encapsulation is complete. 5 units per package.

Archival Polyester Encapsulation Kit
The Archival Polyester Encapsulation Kit contains all materials needed
to encapsulate letters, photos and documents. This proven method of
preservation was developed by the Library of Congress as a means to
protect paper items from the perils of handling, yet make the material
available for viewing or study. A special encapsulation feature is the
ability to view the item from both sides, making it a practical and
popular technique.
This kit contains a generous supply of all the top quality materials
needed, as well as a convenient step-by-step instructional brochure.
Kit includes: Brayer, squeegee, art knife and replacement blades,
cloths, round corner clippers, alignment grids, acid-free tape and 25
sheets of polyester film. These items are contained in a sturdy
acid-free box which may be used for archival storage. Encapsulation
materials may also be purchased separately.

Archival Polyester Film Sheets
Safe, untreated transparent film is great for encapsulation, but can also
be used as a barrier against acid and moisture migration in framing. It
has a neutral pH, contains no harmful plasticizers, and is transparent for
easy viewing. Available in handy pre-cut sheets.
