Tyvek ®
Negative and Print Envelopes
For storage of albumen and colour photographic
materials which require neutral medium. Tyvek ®
is made by spinning continuous interconnecting
strands of very fine high density polyethylene
and bonding the fibres into sheets under heat and
pressure, thus creating a material which looks
and feels like paper. Our Tyvek ® envelopes are
sealed with a non-reactive neutral adhesive, are
chemically inert and are unsurpassed in protecting
photographic emulsions from ferrotyping.

Four-Flap Negative Enclosures Unbuffered
Four-flap enclosures for glass plates and negative
film. Made from 6pt. acid and lignin-free,
unbuffered white stock. Scored for easy creasing
to fit item. Polyester based film requires a single
crease, gelatin glass plates requires the double
crease 1/16” and collodion glass plates the
double 1/8” crease. Glass and polyester based
items are stored emulsion side down while metal
or paper items are stored emulsion side up and
covered with a piece of acid-free tissue cut to
size prior to folding flaps. 50 per package.

Archival Intercept Sheets
Carr McLean is making available 6 mil high density polyethylene
Archival Intercept sheets. Insert into boxes, file folders,
envelopes, sleeves and folders to protect the contents against
atmospheric induced degradation.
The result of the DuPont and AT&T Bell Labs tests indicate
the 6 mil thickness of Archival Intercept film should protect
the contents of archival boxes and enclosures from damaging
gases for at least several decades. Letter Size: 8-1/2” x 11”.
Legal Size: 8-1/2” x 14”. Minimum order: 10.
