SAE ALUMNI Awards 2009
The announcement soliciting entries for the 5 th SAE ALUMNI Awards
contest goes out on April 1, 2009. The SAE ALUMNI Association has
been presenting awards for exceptional audiovisual media productions
since 2005. To date, about 1,000 projects have been entered with
awards being presented to 25 prizewinners.
The contest covers the five categories of Music Production, Multimedia
Production, Short Films, 3D Animation/Special Fx and Creativity First. A
jury consisting of representatives from the industry and SAE Institute is
appointed for each category to determine the respective winners. One
winner is chosen for each category. Thanks to numerous sponsors, this
year’s winners will receive an iMac and a cash prize of 3,000 Euros.
This year, in the context of a program to encourage up-and-coming
talent, SAE/qantm Institute Students can enter their final projects in one
of the folowing student categories. The categories are: Audio Technology,
Webdesign & Development, Game Design and Digital Film & Animation. The
jury consists of SAE Instructors, who will evaluate the projects and choose
the respective winners. The lucky winners receive an iPod and a cash prize
of 500 Euros.

be received by July 31 st 2009.
Announcement of the winners and the official award presentation will
take place during the SAE ALUMNI CONVENTION Party on the evening of
October 15 th in Berlin (www.sae-alumni-convention.org).

Die Ausschreibung der 5. SAE ALUMNI Awards startet am 1. April 2009.
Seit 2005 wird der Award für herausragende Produktionen der audiovisuellen
Medienbranche durch die SAE ALUMNI Association verliehen.
Bisher wurden rund 1.000 Beiträge eingereicht und 25 Preisträger
ausgezeichnet.
Der Wettbewerb besteht aus den fünf Kategorien: Musikproduktion,
Multimediaproduktion, Kurzfilm, 3D Animation/Special Fx und Creativity
First. Eine Fachjury, bestehend aus Vertretern der Industrie und des SAE
Institutes, entscheidet über die eingereichten Arbeiten und bestimmt pro
Kategorie einen Gewinner. Dank zahlreicher Sponsoren können sich die
Gewinner in diesem Jahr über einen iMac sowie jeweils 3.000 Euro in bar
freuen.
Zusätzlich wird es dieses Jahr im Rahmen der Nachwuchsförderung
Studentenkategorien geben, bei denen Studenten von SAE/qantm Institute
ihre Abschlussarbeiten einreichen können. Die Kategorien sind Tontechnik,
Webdesign & Development, Game Design sowie Digital Film & Animation.
Die Jury besteht aus SAE Dozenten, die alle eingereichten Arbeiten bewerten
und die jeweiligen Gewinner bestimmen. Diese können sich über
einen iPod sowie 500 Euro in bar freuen.
