Accreditations The International School of Penang (Uplands) is an accredited International Baccalaureate Organisation - IBO World School, fully recognised by the Malaysian Ministry of Education and also accredited by: • Cambridge International Examinations • Federation of British International Schools of South East Asia (FOBISSEA) • Edexcel International Examinations In June 2003, the School received an award from the Malaysian Ministry of Education, recognising it as a top international school. The School has also achieved world average beating results in IGCSE, GCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma during the last 7 years of accreditation. In June 2006, Uplands received authorisation from the IBO to offer its Primary Years Programme (PYP). The School is a member of the British International Schools Worldwide (BISW) through the Federation of British International Schools in South and East Asia (FOBISSEA).
