I. Evaluation Impact<br />
The evaluation of a teacher shall not be affected by the teacher's IPDP or by the LPDC process.<br />
J. Records<br />
The LPDC shall determine to what extent to keep and retain records of its meetings, decisions<br />
and recommendations to the extent permitted by law. The <strong>Board</strong> shall provide a separate<br />
locked filing cabinet for LPDC records/ files.<br />
K. Reciprocity<br />
The LPDC shall accept outside District approved IPDP's for any newly hired educator from<br />
another district as fulfilling all necessary requirements of the Norwayne Local School District<br />
renewal process. Hours already accumulated in the district of previous employment shall be<br />
honored. Remaining hours shall be accrued by attending professional growth sessions listed in<br />
the IPDP as approved by the Norwayne LPDC.<br />
L. Administrator's Course Work<br />
Whenever an administrator’s course work plan is being discussed or voted upon, the LPDC<br />
shall, at the request of one of its administrative members, cause a majority of the Committee to<br />
consist of administrative members by reducing the number of teacher members voting on the<br />
plan.<br />
M. For the term of the Negotiated Agreement, the LPDC will undertake the responsibility for the<br />
Master Teacher Program as required by SB 2.<br />
The LPDC will:<br />
1. Function as the Master Teacher Program Committee of at least five total members<br />
(majority teachers) to review and score Master Teacher applications. Whenever possible,<br />
teachers with like building assignments or licensure/certification will review and score<br />
the Master Teacher submission documents.<br />
2. Establish formatting, assembling and submitting requirements. (using the document on<br />
the Master Teacher Program produced by the ODE Center for the Teaching Profession.<br />
Appendix J.)<br />
3. The District will insure that, under no circumstances, will the involvement in the<br />
activities of the Master Teacher Program Committee result in any adverse employment<br />
decisions for Committee Members or Master Teachers.<br />
4. Insure that the Master Teacher Program process shall have no adverse impact on the<br />
teacher’s employee evaluation.<br />
5. Assure that the Master Teacher Program process is completely voluntary for bargaining<br />
unit members.<br />
