Vodafone campus in
Düsseldorf: Tenant support
par excellence
The new headquarters of Vodafone Germany rises into the sky where a brewery once
stood: At the end of 2012, the Vodafone campus was completed on the site of the
former Gatzweiler brewery in Düsseldorf-Heerdt. Drees & Sommer managed the project
and successfully supported the client with user and tenant management services.
Three low-rise buildings with up to nine
stories and a 75-meter high-rise with
19 floors make up the new group headquarters.
Some 5,000 employees benefit
from modern workplaces and other
amenities such as a fitness center, daycare
and a medical center housed in the
complex in Düsseldorf‘s west. The
building also includes several operational
control centers that monitor the mobile
network nationally around the clock.
Countermeasures can be initiated
centrally from here in the event of faults.
Focus on users
The new building was built by an investor
who will lease the building to Vodafone
following completion.
Drees & Sommer has been commissioned
to undertake project management
right through to planning approval.
This was followed by a tender process
managed by Drees & Sommer to find a
suitable investor.
Following completion of principal
representation functions for the investor,
Drees & Sommer switched to the tenant
side with Vodafone to undertake project
control, tenant management and quality
