...through
fostering health
and well-being...
Wendy & Kent Scholl
“Growing up in a medical household, I
[Wendy] learned the value of hospitals,
doctors and nurses to a community, both
in the care and in the education that they
provide to us. Hospitals are the center
of a community.
“At one time or another, we all find
ourselves in need of our local hospitals’
care. While some can pay for their services,
many others don’t have the resources.
“In 2003 alone, Miami Valley Hospital
provided more than $50 million in
uncompensated care for people in need
in our community. But they couldn’t
continue to provide this service, if it
weren’t for the volunteers and generous
donors who support the hospital. We’re
proud that our Foundation account is
helping to make a positive difference in
the health of our community.”
The Scholls established a Charitable Checking
Account in 1992 to fulfill their spirit of community
philanthropy, particularly in supporting the work
of Miami Valley Hospital.
