...through
support for
places of
worship...
Orlando & Leanora Brown
“Many kids today lack the valuable
teachings of Christianity. What you learn
through your church, you carry with you
for the rest of your life. This can have a
great impact on a community and in
the world.
“We have a responsibility to help
others become successful, contributing
members of society. The best way for us
to do this is by being good stewards and
role models for children, particularly
through our church. Giving is part of
practicing Christianity. Learning to give
is a divine gift of God.”
The Browns established a Charitable Checking Account
in 1996 and the Orlando V. and Leanora D. Brown
Endowment Fund in 2000 through the African-American
Community Fund, a component fund group of The
Dayton Foundation. These funds guarantee their
charitable support for organizations they care about,
including Central Chapel AME Church, today and long
after their lifetimes.
