Triga Engineering says the
iBOOST throttle body insert kit
is an off-the-shelf, easy-to-install
throttle body enhancement kit
that gives modern, fuel-injected
dirt bikes more power and better
throttle response.
According to Triga, the device
improves the volumetric efficiency
of the bike’s engine by applied
PWT (Pressure Wave Tuning). The
up and down running pressure
wave in the intake system is tuned
to ensure the positive peak of the
pressure wave is there when the
intake valve opens.
The flow engineered Triga
butterfly valve and axle are CNC
precision machined to eliminate
high-end flow loss by lowering flow
restriction.
Triga says the iBOOST can be
installed and removed without
damaging the OEM throttle body,
while it significantly increases
horsepower throughout the rev
range, while delivering better
throttle response.
The iBOOST can be installed in
a stock bike without any changes
to fuel mapping or other tuning.
Both the CLS Monster Energy
Kawasaki Pro Circuit team and the
DIGA KTM team use the iBOOST
kit in their GP race bikes, and
at the 2011 GP of Germany in
Gaildorf, Tommy Searle raced his
Triga-iBOOST-equipped Kawasaki
to its maiden MX2 GP victory.

Nolan’s innovative N-43 Trilogy helmet
features a removable chin bar. This,
the maker says, gives the helmet
the strength and protection of a fullface
helmet, while allowing it to be
transformed in seconds to an openface
helmet, with all the freedom and
versatility that that style of lid entails.
The 100 per cent Italian-made helmet
comes with a long five-year warranty
as well as Nolan’s Tinted VPS (Vision
Protection System) internal visor, to
reduce glare, and a clear, quick-release
Lexan visor. Both are scratch resistant,
and the smaller tinted visor flips up
inside the helmet when it isn’t required.
The helmet also features a ventilation
system and it’s compatible with
Nolan’s integrated N-Com multi-media/
communications system, while a small
optional peak is also supplied.
A removable Clima Comfort Liner
keeps the rider cool and comfortable
on warmer days, while Nolan says the
helmet’s multi-density EPS styrene foam
provides optimal impact protection and
safety levels.
The N-43 Trilogy comes with a
removable chin flap/wind protector for
extra comfort, while an optional NFR
anti-fog visor insert is also available as
an accessory.
The N-43 Trilogy is available in sizes
from XS to XXL, in a choice of Flat
Black, Gloss Black or Platinum Silver
in solid colours, or Voyage or Italia
graphics.
